Uncover innovative ways to strengthen your advising and leadership skills, attract quality staff, maintain and improve professional competence, understand how to maintain and build your OST programs, and meet funder demands by learning and implementing the comprehensive APAS Program Evaluation System.

Summer Seminars Sessions

July 12-13, 2010

A. Elevating Professional Development
This seminar will help those working at the program and system levels addressing workforce issues. Come as a team or individual to learn and develop your plan for building quality practices tied to staffi ng practices and opportunities for career mobility. We will navigate what’s needed locally and structurally to develop a common framework for program leaders and administrators.
B.Afterschool Program Assessment System (APAS)
These days, many funders and state agencies require a full program evaluation to assess current program quality, to identify areas of improvement, and to track long term progress. Take this workshop and learn to use and gain access to our nationally recognized, scientfically tested, APAS system.

July 14-15, 2010

C. Effective Management
This seminar will hep you maintain and continue to make program improvements while weathering cost-cutting and new requirements. Join aft erschool professionals from around the country who are tackling the same issues and learn how to guide program improvement, build stronger staff , and use tools for assessing program and staff practices.
D. Quality Advisor Training
This training will prepare you to provide technical assistance to OST programs working on quality improvement. You will learn the skills of observation, analysis, and problem-solving to assess and counsel programs using the APT (Assessment of Aft erschool Program Practices Tool).
