Afterschool/Out-of-School Time Resource Fair for Families

During the summer of 2007, Boston Public School families were surveyed to determine their needs and interests. A significant number of families identified a need for more information about a broad range of afterschool and out-of-school time opportunities for their children and youth. In response, families from across the entire Boston Public School district will be invited to a Resource Fair on October 18th that will include:
- vendors representing a range of programs including youth development, tutoring, enrichment, arts, sports, and recreation programs;
- mini-workshops on how to select a quality afterschool program; and
- information about BOSTONavigator, a new citywide database of youth resources developed through a partnership of the City of Boston, BOSTnet and Boston After School & Beyond.
If you currently have the capacity to serve additional participants and would like to have a table at the Resource Fair, please complete the attached application. Spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Approximately fifty vendors are anticipated.
