Boston University Community Service Center
The Boston University Community Service Center provides students, faculty, staff and alumni with thousands of volunteer opportunities to address the critical concerns of the community in a meaningful and mutually beneficial way. The Community Service Center has 10 student-run programs, with over 1000 placed volunteers throughout the year, including winter, spring and summer breaks. Semester opportunities include youth tutoring, youth recreational programs, delivering meals to homebound people with AIDS, salvaging food for shelters, teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, or brining the world of music to students at a local elementary school.
